Meet Christina

After a recent highly successful staging and design project with Hill Country native Christina Flood, owner and lead designer at HOME Simple Goods + Designs, we couldn't help but wonder—what drives this incredibly talented and creative woman? We had the pleasure of sitting down with Christina to explore her journey, inspirations, and the invaluable role of staging in both home design and real estate.

A Childhood Rooted in Inspiration

Growing up in Texas, Christina’s early influences were shaped by the luxurious ranch homes where her parents worked. Spending time in these beautifully curated spaces ignited her passion for design. Her mother, with a keen eye for putting together stylish interiors on a budget, played a pivotal role in nurturing Christina’s love for aesthetics. Visits to Fredericksburg's charming shops on Main Street, like Homestead and Room No. 5, further fueled her dream of one day owning her own furniture store.

Turning Passion into a Career

After spending eight years in Wyoming, Christina felt the pull to return home to Texas, specifically Fredericksburg & Ingram, Texas, where her mother had relocated. Driven by her passion, she opened a store that combined her love for retail with design services.

Her first major design project came unexpectedly—when a persistent customer in Wyoming insisted on her expertise for his home. What began as a simple consultation evolved into a complete renovation, leading to a lasting friendship and countless new opportunities. That single project opened doors to designing homes in Dallas, Jackson Hole, and even a vacation home in Hawaii. Through these experiences, Christina’s career flourished, leading to a partnership that has helped shape HOME Simple Goods + Designs into what it is today.

The Power of Staging and Design

Today, Christina continues to bring her vision to life by blending timeless elegance with functional design. Her belief in the value of staging—whether for a home sale or a personal refresh—underscores her approach: creating spaces that feel both curated and lived-in.

From Texas ranches to luxury vacation homes, Christina’s journey is a testament to the power of passion, persistence, and the beauty of meaningful connections.

Currently: Christina currently runs her new store; Summer House in Ingram, Texas with her husband Donnie and their two young children. In her spare time you’ll find Christina spending time with her precious fur babies and family outdoors in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
